Last week Emily Cameron and I had the opportunity to compete in the Geography and City Studies Student Association Case Competition “University of Toronto Scarborough: 50 Years Later!”
Finally, a case competition where we could geek out about transit, bike lanes, and everything else in between; we were stoked! With much hard work and lots of late nights, we are happy to announce that we took 1st place among an array of many other amazing teams.
Our focus was on improving transit on campus by putting together an interactive story map, creating a physical model (architecture students bear with us as its not to scale), and preparing a 15-minute presentation.
If you are curious to see our interactive ArcGIS story map then feel free to have a look here: http://bit.ly/UTSCtransit
Many thanks go out to the GSCA team for putting together such a splendid event, in particular, Valerie Tan, Dhanak Ohri, Ariel Banner, Michelle Lim, Brendan Chiu, and Jaydev Bhatt.
Last, but definitely not least, I cannot forget our gracious judges Andre Sorensen, Charissa Iogna, Cheryll Case, and Jennifer Adams Peffer!
